And We verily gave grace unto Moses and Aaron, 114 And We saved them and their people from the great distress; 115 and succoured them, so that [in the end] it was they who achieved victory. 116 And We bestowed the clear Book to both of them. 117 And We guided them both on the right way. 118 And We left for them (a goodly remembrance) among generations (to come) in later times; 119 "Peace upon Moses and Aaron." 120 Verily We! thus We recompense the well-doers. 121 Surely both of them were among Our believing servants. 122 And verily, Iliyas (Elias) was one of the Messengers. 123 When he said to his people, “Do you not fear?” 124 Do you worship Ba`al and abandon the Best Creator. 125 God, your Lord, and the Lord of your fathers?" 126 But they denounced him as a liar, so they will surely be arraigned (for punishment), 127 Except the bondmen of Allah sincere. 128 We left him thus to be succeeded by a group [of followers] among the following generations -- 129 Peace be upon Elias. 130 Lo! thus do We reward the good. 131 Lo! he is one of our believing slaves. 132 Lot was certainly a Messenger. 133 We saved him and all his kinsmen, 134 Except his wife among those who remained [with the evildoers]. 135 and then We utterly destroyed the others: 136 And most surely you pass by them in the morning, 137 Or at night. Then how is it you do not understand? 138
