Al-Hijjr 4 of 6
But the godfearing shall be amidst gardens and fountains: 45 [having been received with the greeting,] "Enter here in peace, secure!" 46 We shall strip away all rancour that is in their breasts; as brothers they shall be upon couches set face to face; 47 They will not be affected by any weariness there, and they will never be made to leave." 48 ۞ Tell My servants I am the All-forgiving, the All-compassionate, 49 But My punishment is surely a painful one. 50 And tell them of Abraham's guests, 51 when they came to him they greeted him with: "Peace." He said,"We feel afraid of you." 52 They said: "Fear not! We give thee glad tidings of a son endowed with wisdom." 53 He said, 'What, do you give me good tidings, though old age has smitten me? Of what do you 54 give me good tidings?' They said, 'We give thee good tidings of truth. Be not of those that despair.' 55 He said, "And who despairs of the mercy of his Lord except for those astray?" 56 He said, 'And what is your business, envoys?' 57 They said: Surely we are sent towards a guilty people, 58 excepting the folk of Lot; them we shall deliver 59 excepting only his wife, [of whom God says,] 'We have ordained [that,] behold, she should be among those who stay behind!' 60
