The people of Lot cried lies to the Envoys 160 when their brother Lot said to them, 'Will you not be godfearing? 161 Indeed, I am to you a trustworthy messenger. 162 be, then, conscious of God, and pay heed unto me! 163 And I ask of you no hire therefor; my hire is but with the Lord of the worlds. 164 "Of all the creatures in the world, will ye approach males, 165 "And leave those whom Allah has created for you to be your wives? Nay, you are a trespassing people!" 166 They said: "If thou desist not, O Lut! thou wilt assuredly be cast out!" 167 He said, "I am one of those who abhors your ways. 168 "O my Lord! deliver me and my family from such things as they do!" 169 So We delivered him and his household all. 170 except for an old woman who stayed behind, 171 Then afterward We destroyed the others. 172 And We rained down upon them a rain, and evil was the rain on those warned. 173 Verily in this was a sign, but most of them do not believe. 174 Verily Your Lord is Immensely Mighty, Most Compassionate. 175
