The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
29 verses, revealed in Mecca after Thorns (Al-Masad) before The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
When the sun is covered, 1 And when the stars fall, 2 And when the hills are moved, 3 The ten-month pregnant female camels are abandoned, 4 when the savage beasts shall be brought together, 5 and when the seas boil over, 6 when the souls are divided into different classes, 7 And when the girl [who was] buried alive is asked 8 For what sin she was killed 9 and when the scrolls [of men's deeds] are unfolded, 10 when heaven is stripped, 11 And when hell is lighted, 12 And Paradise brought near, 13 (Then) shall each soul know what it has put forward. 14 Rather, I swear by the returning 15 The stars which rise and set, 16 And the close of night, 17 and the first breath of morning. 18 behold, this [divine writ] is indeed the [inspired] word of a noble apostle, 19 [Who is] possessed of power and with the Owner of the Throne, secure [in position], 20 there he is obeyed and held trustworthy. 21 Your companion is not possessed; 22 And he has already seen Gabriel in the clear horizon. 23 He is not chary of making public what is unknown. 24 Nor is this [message] the word of any satanic force accursed. 25 Where to are you then heading? 26 It is naught but a Reminder unto all beings, 27 Unto whomsoever of you willeth to walk straight. 28 However, you will not be able to choose anything unless God, Lord of the Universe wills it to be so. 29
God the Almighty always says the truth.
