Y S (Yaa Seen)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
YaSeen. 1 By the wise Qur'an. 2 Thou art indeed one of the messengers, 3 On a Straight Way. 4 This is a revelation sent down from the Majestic and All-merciful 5 That you may warn a people whose fathers were not warned, so they are heedless. 6 The sentence is surely justified against most of them, for they do not believe. 7 We have put yokes round their necks right up to their chins, so that they cannot bow their heads 8 and We have set a barrier before them and a barrier behind them, and We have covered them up so that they cannot see. 9 And it is alike to them whether you warn them or warn them not: they do not believe. 10 You should only warn those who follow the Quran and have fear of the Beneficent God without seeing Him. Give them the glad news of their receiving forgiveness and an honorable reward (from God). 11 Verily, We give life to the dead, and We record that which they send before (them), and their traces [their footsteps and walking on the earth with their legs to the mosques for the five compulsory congregational prayers, Jihad (holy fighting in Allah's Cause) and all other good and evil they did, and that which they leave behind], and all things We have recorded with numbers (as a record) in a Clear Book. 12
