This, (Quran), is certainly the revelation from the Lord of the Universe. 192 The Trustworthy Spirit has brought it down 193 Upon your heart, for you to convey warning. 194 in a clear, Arabic tongue. 195 Truly it is in the Scriptures of the ancients. 196 Is it not evidence enough for them that the learned among the Children of Israel have recognized this [as true]? 197 If We had revealed it to a nonArab, 198 and he had recited it to them, they would not have believed. 199 Even so, We have caused it to enter into the hearts of harmdoers: 200 They will not believe in it until they see the painful punishment. 201 And it shall come to them all of a sudden, while they shall not perceive; 202 Then will they say: "Can we be given respite?" 203 So do they wish to hasten Our punishment? 204 What thinkest thou? If We give them enjoyment of days for many years, 205 and thereupon that [chastisement] which they were promised befalls them 206 So of what benefit will be the comforts that they were using? 207 And never did We destroy a township, but it had its warners 208 and reminded: for, never do We wrong [anyone]. 209 And the devils have not brought the revelation down. 210 for, neither does it suit their ends, nor is it in their power [to impart it to man]: 211 The satans are barred from listening to anything from the heavens. 212 So invoke not with Allah another ilah (god) lest you be among those who receive punishment. 213 And warn thy clan, thy nearest kin. 214 And be kind and humble to the believers who follow you. 215 And if they disobey you, then say, "Indeed, I am disassociated from what you are doing." 216 And put thy trust in the Mighty, the Merciful. 217 who sees you when you stand up [for prayer], 218 And your movement among those who prostrate. 219 Lo! He, only He, is the Hearer, the Knower. 220 Shall I declare unto you upon whom the satans descend! 221 They descend on every lying (one who tells lies), sinful person. 222 Who listens to you (for spreading rumours); but most of them are liars. 223 And the Poets,- It is those straying in Evil, who follow them: 224 Have you not seen that they wander distract in every valley, 225 and that they [so often] say what they do not do [or feel]? 226 Save those that believe, and do righteous deeds, and remember God oft, and help themselves after being wronged; and those who do wrong shall surely know by what overturning they will be overturned. 227
Almighty Allah's Truth.
