The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ Successful indeed are the believers, 1 those who humble themselves in their prayer, 2 and from idle talk turn away 3 And who pay the (obligatory) charity. 4 and guard their private parts 5 Save from their wives or the (slaves) that their right hands possess, for then they are not blameworthy, 6 (but whosoever seeks after more than that, those are the transgressors) 7 And who are shepherds of their pledge and their covenant, 8 And they who carefully maintain their prayers - 9 These will be the heirs, 10 Who shall inherit the Paradise; they shall abide therein. 11 NOW, INDEED, We create man out of the essence of clay, 12 Then placed him as a drop (of seed) in a safe lodging; 13 Then We made the seed a clot, then We made the clot a lump of flesh, then We made (in) the lump of flesh bones, then We clothed the bones with flesh, then We caused it to grow into another creation, so blessed be Allah, the best of the creators. 14 Thereafter you are destined to die, 15 Then lo! on the Day of Resurrection ye are raised (again). 16 And indeed We have created above you seven heavens (one over the other), and We are never unaware of the creation. 17 We have sent a measure of water from the sky to stay on earth and We have the power to take it away. 18 Then through water We caused gardens of date-palms and vines to grow for you wherein you have an abundance of delicious fruits and from them you derive your livelihood. 19 and a tree issuing from the Mount of Sinai that bears oil and seasoning for all to eat. 20 And indeed in the cattle is a lesson for you; We give you to drink what is in their bellies, and there are many benefits for you in them, and in them is your food. 21 and upon them and on the ships you are carried. 22
