We indeed created man; and We know what his soul whispers within him, and We are nearer to him than the jugular vein. 16 and the two recording angels are recording, sitting on the right and the left: 17 not a word he utters, but by him is an observer ready. 18 The palsy of death will surely come. This is what you wished to avert. 19 And the trumpet blast will sound: It would be the Day of Doom. 20 And every soul cometh, along with it a driver and a witness. 21 “You were indeed neglectful of this, so We have removed the veil for you, and your eyesight is sharp this day.” 22 His companion said: “Here is he who was in my charge.” 23 [Whereupon God will command:] "Cast, cast into hell every [such] stubborn enemy of the truth, 24 every hinderer of the good, transgressor, disquieter, 25 and has set up another deity with Allah. Hurl him into the grievous torment.” 26 ۞ His companion will say: O our Lord! caused him not to transgress but he was himself in error far off. 27 Allah will say: "Dispute not in front of Me, I had already, in advance, sent you the threat. 28 My Word is not changed; and never do I inflict the least wrong upon My servants.” 29
