The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
By the sky containing great stars 1 And by the Day promised, 2 by the witness and the witnessed, 3 Cursed be the makers of the pit, 4 the makers of the fuel-stoked fire! 5 when they were seated around it 6 and were themselves witnesses of what they did with the believers. 7 And they did not take vengeance on them for aught except that they believed in Allah, the Mighty, the Praised, 8 Whose kingdom spreads over the heavens and the earth. God is witness over everything. 9 Those who persecute the believers, men and women, and then have not repented, there awaits them the chastisement of Gehenna, and there awaits them the chastisement of the burning. 10 As for those who believed and acted righteously, theirs shall be Gardens beneath which rivers flow. That is the great triumph. 11 Stern indeed is your Lord's punishment. 12 Behold, it is He who creates [man] in the first instance, and He [it is who] will bring him forth anew. 13 And He alone is truly-forgiving, all-embracing in His love, 14 Lord of the Throne of Glory, 15 and the Most Effective in His decision. 16 Have you not heard the story of the hosts 17 of Pharaoh and Thamud? 18 And yet the Unbelievers (persist) in rejecting (the Truth)! 19 And Allah, all unseen, surroundeth them. 20 What is revealed to you is certainly a glorious Quran 21 Inscribed in a tablet preserved. 22
