The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
By the sky with its constellations, 1 And by the Day promised, 2 And the bearer of witness and those against whom the witness is borne. 3 Cursed were the companions of the trench 4 the fire abounding in fuel, 5 when they were seated over it 6 and they were witnesses of what they did to the believers 7 whom they hated for no other reason than that they believed in God, the Almighty, the Praiseworthy, 8 [and] to whom the dominion of the heavens and the earth belongs. But God is witness unto everything! 9 Surely for those who persecute believers, men and women, and do not repent afterwards, is the punishment of Hell, and the punishment of burning. 10 Verily, those who believe and do righteous good deeds, for them will be Gardens under which rivers flow (Paradise). That is the great success. 11 The grip of your Lord is indeed severe, 12 Surely it is He who originates, and brings again, 13 and He is the Ever Forgiving, the Most Loving 14 Owner of the Throne, the Exalted. 15 Doer of whatsoever He intendeth. 16 Have you not heard the story of the hosts 17 Of Pharaoh and the Thamud? 18 In fact the disbelievers are in denial. 19 However, God encompassed their activities. 20 Indeed, this is a Glorious Koran, 21 in a Guarded Tablet. 22
