Seest thou one who turns back, 33 And gave little, and then stopped? 34 Does he possess the knowledge of the unseen, thus, he sees (all things)? 35 Has he not been made acquainted with what was written in the scriptures of Moses? 36 and Abraham, who paid his debt in full? 37 That no soul shall bear another's burden, 38 and that everyone shall have in his account only that which he worked for, 39 That his endeavours will be judged, 40 Then shall he be rewarded for it with the fullest reward- 41 And that unto thy Lord is the goal. 42 And that it is He Who made (you) laugh and made (you) cry? 43 and that it is He alone who deals death and grants life; 44 And that He created pairs, the male and the female 45 from an ejected drop of sperm; 46 and on Him depends the life hereafter. 47 that He it is Who bestowed wealth and riches, 48 that He is the Lord of Sirius, 49 that it was He that destroyed ancient Aad 50 and Thamud tribes, 51 And the folk of Noah aforetime, Lo! they were more unjust and more rebellious; 52 And the subverted cities He overthrew. 53 So there covered them that which covered. 54 Then which of the Graces of your Lord (O man!) will you doubt. 55 He who warns you is one of the warners of old. 56 that [Last Hour] which is so near draws ever nearer, 57 None beside Allah can disclose it. 58 Do you, perchance, find this tiding strange? 59 Why do you laugh rather than weep? 60 Indulging in pleasantries? 61 [Nay,] but prostrate yourselves before God, and worship [Him alone]! ۩ 62
