The warnings came to the people of Pharaoh. 41 They belied Our signs everyone thereof; whereof We laid hold of them with the grip of the Mighty, Powerful. 42 Are your infidels better than these? Or is there an immunity for you in the Writs? 43 Or do they say: "We are a group united, [and therefore] bound to prevail"? 44 The group will soon be routed, and will turn their backs to flee. 45 Aye! the Hour is their appointed term, and the Hour shall be far more grievous and far more bitter. 46 Indeed the criminals are astray and insane. 47 The Day they will be dragged in the Fire on their faces (it will be said to them): "Taste you the touch of Hell!" 48 We have indeed created all things by a proper measure. 49 And Our command is but one, as the twinkling of an eye. 50 And indeed, We have destroyed your likes, then is there any that will remember (or receive admonition)? 51 All their deeds are recorded in their books: 52 and everything [that man does,] be it small or great, is recorded [with God]. 53 Verily the God-fearing will be in Gardens and among rivers. 54 in the seat of truth with an all-powerful sovereign. 55
