After we have died and become mere dust and bones, shall we, forsooth, be raised from the dead? 47 (We) and our fore-fathers of yore?” 48 Say thou: verily the ancients and those of later generations: 49 “They will all be gathered together – on the appointed time of the known day.” 50 Then shall you, O you who err and call it a lie! 51 You will indeed eat from the Zaqqum tree. 52 Fill your bellies with it, 53 "And drink Boiling Water on top of it: 54 Drinkers even as the drinking of thirsty camels. 55 That is their accommodation on the Day of Recompense. 56 It is We Who have created you: why will ye not witness the Truth? 57 Did you ever consider the sperm that you emit? 58 did you create it or did We? 59 We! it is We Who have decreed death unto you all. And We are not to be outrun. 60 from changing your Forms and creating you (again) in (forms) that ye know not. 61 You have known the first growth; so why will you not remember? 62 Ponder upon the soil you till, 63 Is it you who cultivate it, or is it We Who develop it? 64 If We so pleased, We could turn your harvest into chaff. Then you would start lamenting, 65 (And say:) "We have fallen into debt; 66 Nay, but we are deprived! 67 Did you cast a good look at the water that you drink? 68 Is it you who cause it to come down from the clouds - or are We the cause of its coming down? 69 If We willed, We could make it bitter, so why are you not grateful? 70 Consider the fire that you strike (and get by friction). 71 Did you produce the tree that serves as fuel or do We? 72 We have made it a reminder and provision for the travelers, 73 Then glorify with praises the Name of your Lord, the Most Great. 74
