Y S (Yaa Seen)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
Ya-Sin. [These letters are one of the miracles of the Quran, and none but Allah (Alone) knows their meanings.] 1 and the Quran, the Book of wisdom, 2 You (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him) are indeed one of the Noble Messengers. 3 pursuing a straight way 4 This is a revelation sent down from the Majestic and All-merciful 5 In order that you may warn a people whose forefathers were not warned, so they are heedless. 6 The Word has been realised against most of them, yet they do not believe. 7 Indeed, We have put shackles on their necks, and they are to their chins, so they are with heads [kept] aloft. 8 And We have set a wall before them and a wall behind them, and covered the top – so they are unable to see anything. 9 Whether thou warn them or thou warn them not, it is alike for them, for they believe not. 10 You should only warn those who follow the Quran and have fear of the Beneficent God without seeing Him. Give them the glad news of their receiving forgiveness and an honorable reward (from God). 11 It is We indeed who bring back the dead to life, and write down what they send ahead (of their deeds), and traces that they leave behind. We keep an account of all things in a lucid register. 12
