Verily We bestowed Our favours on Moses and Aaron 114 And We saved them and their people from the great affliction, 115 And We supported them so it was they who overcame. 116 And We gave them the explicit Scripture, 117 and guided them in the straight path, 118 and We left them thus to be succeeded by a group [of followers] among later generations: 119 Peace be unto Moses and Aaron! 120 This is how We reward those who do good: 121 they were among Our believing servants. 122 And verily, llyas was one of the sent ones. 123 when he spoke [thus] to his people: "Will you not remain conscious of God? 124 "Will ye call upon Baal and forsake the Best of Creators,- 125 Allah, your Lord and Lord of your forefathers? 126 But they denied him [Iliyas (Elias)], so they will certainly be brought forth (to the punishment), 127 excepting only [those who were] God's true servants; 128 We perpetuated his praise in the later generations. 129 "Peace upon Elias." 130 Even so We recompense the good-doers; 131 He was one of Our believing servants. 132 So also was Lut among those sent (by Us). 133 We rescued him and his whole family, 134 Except an old woman who was one of those who stayed behind. 135 Then We destroyed the others. 136 and you pass by them in the morning 137 And at night-time; have ye then no sense? 138

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
