Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the loosed ones successively 1 And those raging swiftly; 2 and raise (clouds) and scatter them around, 3 And those that distinguish distinctly, 4 and those (angels) dropping, reminding 5 To clear or to warn. 6 Most surely what you are threatened with must come to pass. 7 When the stars are extinguished, 8 and when the sky is rent asunder, 9 And when the mountains are carried away by wind. 10 and when all the apostles are called together at a time appointed... 11 For what Day was it postponed? 12 To the Day of Decision. 13 And what could make thee conceive what that Day of Distinction will be? 14 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 15 Did We not destroy [so many of] those [sinners] of olden days? 16 and let the latter follow them? 17 In this wise We do with the culprits. 18 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 19 Did We not create you of a mean fluid, 20 We then kept it in a safe place. 21 for an appointed time? 22 For We do determine (according to need); for We are the best to determine (things). 23 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle, 25 Of the living and the dead? 26 And made therein mountains standing firm, lofty (in stature); and provided for you water sweet (and wholesome)? 27 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 28 [They will be told], "Proceed to that which you used to deny. 29 Depart unto the shadow three branched: 30 Neither shading nor availing against the flame. 31 Lo! it throweth up sparks like the castles, 32 Seeming like yellow camels. 33 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 34 This is a Day they will not speak, 35 Nor are they suffered to put forth excuses. 36 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 37 That will be the Day of Reckoning. Gathered will be (you) and the earlier (generations). 38 If you now have any conspiracy, carry it out on Me. 39 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 40
