T H (Taa Haa)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ Ta Ha. 1 We have not sent down the Qur'an to thee to be (an occasion) for thy distress, 2 Except as a reminder for one who fears. 3 A revelation from Him Who created the earth and the high heavens, 4 The Beneficent God is dominant over the Throne (of the realm). 5 Whatever is in the heavens and the earth and in between them, belongs to Him, as whatever lies under the earth. 6 Whether you speak out aloud (or in a low voice), He knows what is said secretly, and even that which is most hidden. 7 God is the only Lord and to Him belong all the exalted Names. 8 Hast thou received the story of Moses? 9 When he saw a fire and said unto his folk: Lo! Wait! I see a fire afar off. Peradventure I may bring you a brand therefrom or may find guidance at the fire. 10 When he came to it, a voice cried, 'Moses, 11 Verily I am your Lord! Take off your shoes. You are in the sacred valley, Tuwa! 12 And I have chosen thee, so hearken unto that which is inspired. 13 “Indeed it is Me, Allah – there is no God except I – therefore worship Me and keep the prayer established for My remembrance.” 14 "Verily the Hour is coming - My design is to keep it hidden - for every soul to receive its reward by the measure of its Endeavour. 15 Let him who does not believe in it and follows his lust not turn your thought away from it, lest you are ruined. 16 And what is this in your right hand, O Musa! 17 He said: This is my staff: I recline on it and I beat the leaves with it to make them fall upon my sheep, and I have other uses for it. 18 "Throw it down, O Moses," said (the Voice). 19 So he threw it - and lo! it was a snake, moving rapidly. 20 Allah said: take hold of it, and fear not; We shall restore it to its former state. 21 Put your hand under your armpit: it will come out [shining] white, without any blemish. This shall be another sign. 22 That We may show you of Our greater signs: 23 Go to Pharaoh. Indeed, he has transgressed." 24
