And certainly We conferred a favor on Musa and Haroun. 114 and saved them and their people from great distress. 115 We helped them, and they became victorious, 116 And We gave them the clear Scripture 117 And showed them the right path. 118 And We let it (the beautiful praise) remain upon on both of them in the latter (generations), 119 "Peace be upon Moses and Aaron!" 120 As such We recompense the gooddoers. 121 Surely they were both of Our believing servants. 122 And verily, llyas was one of the sent ones. 123 He asked his people: 'Do you not fear (Allah)? 124 Will ye cry unto Baal and forsake the Best of creators, 125 “Allah – Who is your Lord and the Lord of your forefathers?” 126 But they denounced him as a liar, so they will surely be arraigned (for punishment), 127 Except the chosen slaves of Allah. 128 And We left (this blessing) for him among generations (to come) in later times: 129 Peace be upon Ilyas! 130 Even thus do We reward the doers of good. 131 Verily he was one of Our bondmen believing. 132 Verily Lot was one of the apostles, 133 When We rescued him and his entire household. 134 except for an old woman who was among those that stayed behind. 135 Then We annihilated the others. 136 You pass by their desolate habitations in the morning 137 and in the night; will you not understand? 138

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
