T H (Taa Haa)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
۞ O MAN! 1 We did not reveal the Qur'an to you to cause you distress; 2 Nay, it is a reminder to him who fears: 3 A revelation from Him Who created the earth and the high heavens. 4 The Most Beneficent (Allah) Istawa (rose over) the (Mighty) Throne (in a manner that suits His Majesty). 5 To Him belongs all that is in the heavens and the earth, and all that lies between them, and underneath the soil. 6 Be thou loud in thy speech, yet surely He knows the secret and that yet more hidden. 7 God - there is no deity save Him; His [alone] are the attributes of perfection! 8 Hath there come unto thee the story of Musa? 9 When he saw a fire, he said to his family: "Wait! Verily, I have seen a fire, perhaps I can bring you some burning brand therefrom, or find some guidance at the fire." 10 But when he came close to it, a voice called out: "O Moses! 11 Surely I am your Lord, therefore put off your shoes; surely you are in the sacred valley, Tuwa, 12 And I have chosen you, so listen to what is revealed [to you]. 13 Indeed, I am Allah. There is no deity except Me, so worship Me and establish prayer for My remembrance. 14 Indeed, the Hour is coming - I almost conceal it - so that every soul may be recompensed according to that for which it strives. 15 So do not let those who do not believe in it and follow their vain desires, turn you away from it. 16 What is that, Moses, thou hast in thy right hand?' 17 'Why, it is my staff,' said Moses. 'I lean upon it, and with it I beat down leaves to feed my sheep; other uses also I find in it. 18 He said, “Put it down, O Moosa! 19 Moses threw it on the ground and suddenly he saw that it was a moving serpent. 20 Said He: "Take hold of it, and fear not: We shall restore it to its former state. 21 "Now - as another Sign - place your hand under your arm and it will come out sheer white without harm (or stain). 22 That We may show thee (some) of Our greater portents, 23 Go thou unto Fir'awn; verily he hath waxen exorbitant. 24
