Al-Infitaar
Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ When the heaven is cleft asunder. 1 When the planets are dispersed, 2 When the Oceans are suffered to burst forth; 3 And when the graves are ransacked, 4 (Then) a person will know what he has sent forward and (what he has) left behind (of good or bad deeds). 5 O MAN! What is it that lures thee away from thy bountiful Sustainer, 6 Who created thee, then moulded thee, then proportioned thee? 7 and set you in whatever form He pleased? 8 No indeed; (the fact is that) you deny the Reckoning, declaring it a lie; 9 And indeed, [appointed] over you are keepers, 10 noble, writers 11 who know of all that you do. 12 the virtuous will dwell in bliss, 13 And the Wicked - they will be in the Fire, 14 roasting in it on the Day of Recompense 15 And they will not be able to keep away therefrom. 16 And what shall teach thee what is the Day of Doom? 17 Again, what will explain to thee what the Day of Judgment is? 18 It is the Day when no soul can do a thing for another soul. That Day, the command belongs to Allah. 19
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
