In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful 1
All praise is due to God, the Lord of the Universe; 2 the Beneficent, the Merciful 3 The Only Owner (and the Only Ruling Judge) of the Day of Recompense (i.e. the Day of Resurrection) 4 Thee (alone) we worship; Thee (alone) we ask for help. 5 Guide us to the Straight Path, 6 The path of those whom You have favoured – Not the path of those who earned Your anger – nor of those who are astray. 7
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
