'Lord, open my breast,' said Moses, 25 And ease for me my affair. 26 and my tongue fluent 27 so that they might fully understand my speech, 28 "And appoint for me a helper from my family, 29 Aaron, my brother. 30 Increase through him my strength 31 And let him share my task, 32 so that we may glorify 33 and remember you often. 34 Verily, You have always watched over us." 35 (Allah) said: "Granted is thy prayer, O Moses!" 36 And certainly We bestowed on you a favor at another time; 37 when We inspired thy mother with this inspiration: 38 "'Throw (the child) into the chest, and throw (the chest) into the river: the river will cast him up on the bank, and he will be taken up by one who is an enemy to Me and an enemy to him': But I cast (the garment of) love over thee from Me: and (this) in order that thou mayest be reared under Mine eye. 39 "Behold! thy sister goeth forth and saith, 'shall I show you one who will nurse and rear the (child)?' So We brought thee back to thy mother, that her eye might be cooled and she should not grieve. Then thou didst slay a man, but We saved thee from trouble, and We tried thee in various ways. Then didst thou tarry a number of years with the people of Midian. Then didst thou come hither as ordained, O Moses! 40 And I have chosen you for Myself: 41 Go, you and your brother, with My signs and do not slacken in My remembrance. 42 Then go to the Pharaoh as he has become exceedingly rebellious. 43 Speak to him with gentle words; perhaps he will ponder or fear' 44 They both submitted, “Our Lord – indeed we fear that he may oppress us or deal mischievously.” 45 He said: "Fear not: for I am with you: I hear and see (everything). 46 Go to him and say, 'We are both messengers from your Lord. Let the Children of Israel go with us, and do not oppress them. We have brought you a Sign from your Lord, and may peace be upon whoever follows the right guidance; 47 "'Verily it has been revealed to us that the Penalty (awaits) those who reject and turn away.'" 48 He (Pharaoh) said: 'Moses, who is the Lord of you both' 49 'Our Lord' he replied, 'is He Who gave everything its creation and then guided it' 50 Pharaoh asked: "Then, what is the state of the former generations?" 51 (Moses) replied: "Knowledge of that is with my Lord (recorded) in the Book. My Lord neither errs nor forgets." 52 Who hath appointed for you the earth as a bed, and hath opened for you therein pathways, and hath sent down from the heaven water, and thereby We have brought forth kinds of plants, various. 53 Do you eat, and pasture your cattle! Surely in that are signs for men possessing reason. 54
