O (you) Messengers! Eat of the Taiyibat [all kinds of Halal (legal) foods which Allah has made legal (meat of slaughtered eatable animals, milk products, fats, vegetables, fruits, etc.)], and do righteous deeds. Verily! I am Well-Acquainted with what you do. 51 And lo! this your religion is one religion and I am your Lord, so keep your duty unto Me. 52 But they (who claim to follow you) have torn their unity wide asunder, piece by piece, each group delighting in [but] what they themselves possess [by way of tenets]. 53 Therefore leave them in their overwhelming ignorance till 54 What, do they think that We succour them with of wealth and children, 55 have no other purpose except to help them in acquiring material benefits? No indeed. But they do not understand. 56 Those who tremble in fear of their Lord, 57 and those who believe in the signs of their Lord 58 And those who ascribe not partners unto their Lord, 59 And they who give what they give while their hearts are fearful because they will be returning to their Lord - 60 It is these who race for the good deeds, and they are foremost in them [e.g. offering the compulsory Salat (prayers) in their (early) stated, fixed times and so on]. 61 And We do not lay on any soul a burden except to the extent of its ability, and with Us is a book which speaks the truth, and they shall not be dealt with unjustly. 62 Yet their hearts are oblivious of this; and besides, they are busy with other things, 63 But when We will strike with torment those (unbelievers) who are rich, they will start to cry for help. 64 [But they will be told] "Cry not in supplication today; for, behold, you shall not be succoured by Us! 65 My verses had already been recited to you, but you were turning back on your heels 66 in arrogance, as if you were abandoning a story-teller. 67 Pondered they not over the Word? or came there unto them that which came not unto their fathers ancient? 68 Or did they not know their Messenger, so they are toward him disacknowledging? 69 or you said that he is possessed by satan? In fact, he has brought you the truth, but most of you dislike it. 70 Were the Truth to follow their desires, the order of the heavens and the earth and those who dwell in them would have been ruined. Nay, the fact is that We have brought to them their own remembrance; and yet it is from their own remembrance that they are turning away. 71 Or, do you ask a tribute from them? Your Lord's tribute is better. He is the Best of providers. 72 Indeed you are calling them to a Straight Path, 73 but, behold, those who will not believe in the life to come are bound to deviate from that way. 74 ۞ And if We have mercy upon them and remove the calamity which has befallen them, they would still stubbornly persist, wandering in their rebellion. 75 And indeed We grasped them with punishment, so neither did they submit themselves to their Lord, nor do they cry humbly. 76 until We open before them a gate of harsh punishment and then they will be dumbfounded. 77
