Al-Furqaan 4 of 6
We gave Moses the Book, and made his brother Aaron his minister, 35 then We said to them, "Go to the people who have treated Our Revelations as false. " So We annihilated those people utterly. 36 And the people of Nuh! when they belied the apostles We drowned them, and made them a sign unto mankind. And We have gotten ready unto the wrong-doers a torment afflictive. 37 To each of the tribes of Ad, Thamud, the settlers around the well and many generations in between 38 We gave guidance and drove each to destruction. 39 And indeed they have passed by the town [of Prophet Lout (Lot)] on which was rained the evil rain. Did they (disbelievers) not then see it (with their own eyes)? Nay! But they used not to expect for any resurrection. 40 When they see you they take you only in jest: "Is this the one whom God has sent as messenger? 41 He had well-nigh led us astray from our gods had we not adhered to them patiently! And they will know, when they see the punishment, who is straying farther off from the path. 42 Have you seen him who has made gods of his own desires? Would you be a guardian over him? 43 Do you think that most of them can hear or understand? They are like cattle, no, they are further astray from the Path. 44
