Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate

The mutual rivalry for piling up (the good things of this world) diverts you (from the more serious things), 1 Until you visit the graveyards. 2 Nay! You shall come to know! 3 Indeed you will come to know soon. 4 Nay, if you could but understand [it] with an understanding [born] of certainty, 5 You should most certainly have seen the hell; 6 Then ye shall surely behold with the surety of vision. 7 Then, on that Day, you will be called to account for all the bounties you enjoyed. 8

Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
