WHAT, THEN, is amiss with such as are bent on denying the truth, that they run about confusedly to and fro before thee, 36 From the right and from the left, in crowds? 37 Does every person among them aspire to enter a garden of pleasure? 38 Nay, verily. Lo! We created them from what they know. 39 So I swear by the Lord of the Easts and the Wests that We are certainly able 40 To replace them by others better than they; and We are not to be outrun. 41 Therefore leave them, involved in their indecencies and play, till they confront their day which they are promised. 42 the Day when they shall come forth in haste from their graves, as if racing towards a goal-post, 43 their eyes are humbled and they are covered with humiliation. Such is the Day that they were promised. 44
