On the day when We shall call all men with their record, and whoso is given his book in his right hand -- those shall read their book, and they shall not be wronged a single date-thread. 71 But those who were blind in this world, will be blind in the hereafter, and most astray from the Path. 72 Indeed they were near to seducing thee from that We revealed to thee, that thou mightest forge against Us another, and then they would surely have taken thee as a friend; 73 And had We not kept you steadfast, possibly you might have inclined to them just a little. 74 In that case We would have surely made thee taste the double of the tornment of the life and the double of the torment of death, and then thou wouldst not find against Us a helper. 75 They very nearly provoked you to drive you out of the land, but they would have only lingered for a little while after you. 76 The tradition of the Noble Messengers We sent before you – and you will not find Our rules changing. 77
