In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

HaMeem. 1 [This is] a revelation from the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful - 2 A Book the verses of which are explained in detail, the Qur’an in Arabic for people of intellect. 3 As a giver of good tidings and a warner; but most of them turn away, so they do not hear. 4 And they say: Our hearts are under coverings from that to which you call us, and there is a heaviness in our ears, and a veil hangs between us and you, so work, we too are working. 5 Say thou: I am only a human being like unto you; only it is revealed unto me that your God is but One God, wherefore take the straight path unto Him and seek forgiveness of Him. And woe be unto the associators. 6 who do not pay charity and disbelieve in the Everlasting Life. 7 "The ones who believe and perform good deeds shall have a reward which will never be withheld from them." 8
