Prostration (Al-Sajdah)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
Alif Lam Mim. 1 The sending down of the Book, wherein no doubt is, from the Lord of all Being. 2 Or do they say, "He has forged it"? Nay, it is the Truth from thy Lord, that thou mayest admonish a people to whom no warner has come before thee: in order that they may receive guidance. 3 Allah it is Who created the heavens and the earth and whatsoever is betwixt the twain in six days, and then He established Himself on the throne. No patron have ye nor an intercessor besides Him. Will ye not then be admonished? 4 He directs the affair from heaven to earth. Then it will ascend to Him in one day, a day whose value is a thousand years by your reckoning. 5 That is He, the All-Knower of the unseen and the seen, the All-Mighty, the Most Merciful. 6 He Who excelled in the creation of all that He created. He originated the creation of man from clay, 7 Then He made his seed from a draught of despised fluid; 8 Then He made him complete and breathed into him of His spirit, and made for you the ears and the eyes and the hearts; little is it that you give thanks. 9 But they say: "When we have mingled with the earth, shall we be created anew?" In fact they deny the meeting with their Lord. 10 ۞ Say: "The angel of death appointed over you will take away your soul, then you will be sent back to your Lord." 11
