Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
By (the wind) those sent (as horses') mane (in succession), 1 And those raging swiftly; 2 And scatter (things) far and wide; 3 then the criterion (the verses of Koran), separating 4 And those that bring down the Reminder 5 As justification or warning, 6 Surely, what you are promised must come to pass. 7 Thus, [it will come to pass] when the stars are effaced, 8 The heavens split asunder, 9 The mountains will be blown away as dust. 10 And when the Messengers are gathered to their time appointed; 11 To what day is the doom fixed? 12 For the Day of Sorting out. 13 And what will explain to thee what is the Day of Sorting out? 14 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 15 Did We not destroy the earlier peoples? 16 We will now cause the later ones to follow them: 17 Thus do We deal with the Mujrimun (polytheists, disbelievers, sinners, criminals, etc.)! 18 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 19 Did We not create you from a base fluid 20 which We then let remain in [the womb's] firm keeping 21 Till an appointed term, 22 See that We had the power to do so. Great indeed is Our power to do what We will. 23 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 24 Have We not made the earth a repository 25 for the living and for the dead? 26 And We placed therein lofty, firmly set mountains and have given you to drink sweet water. 27 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 28 Proceed now towards that which you were wont to deny as false; 29 Depart to a triple-massing shadow 30 [But having] no cool shade and availing not against the flame." 31 Lo! it throweth up sparks like the castles, 32 As if they were yellowish [black] camels. 33 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 34 This is the Day they shall not speak, 35 nor will they be allowed to proffer excuses. 36 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 37 that Day of Distinction [between the true and the false, when they will be told]: "We have brought you together with those [sinners] of olden times; 38 If you now have any conspiracy, carry it out on Me. 39 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 40
