A large group from the earlier generations. 39 And a numerous company from among the last. 40 The Companions of the Left (O Companions of the Left!) 41 They will find themselves in scorching wind and scalding water, 42 and the shadow of a smoking blaze 43 Which is neither cool nor is for respect. 44 Surely they had lived before in luxury, 45 And were stubborn upon the great sin (of disbelief). 46 And they used to say: "When we die and become dust and bones, shall we then indeed be resurrected? 47 What, and our fathers, the ancients?' 48 Say: "Verily, those of olden times and those of later times 49 shall be gathered together to the appointed time on a known Day' 50 Then you, the erring ones and those that gave the lie to the Truth, 51 you shall eat (the fruit) of the Tree of Zakkum. 52 "Then you will fill your bellies therewith, 53 And shall be drinkers thereon of boiling water. 54 Drinking even as the camel drinketh. 55 This shall be their entertainment on the Day of Requital. 56 We! it is We Who created you: wherefore confess ye not? 57 Have you ever considered that [seed] which you emit? 58 Do you create a child out of it, or are We its creators? 59 It is We Who have ordained death among you, and We have not been beaten 60 in replacing you with another creation like you, changing you into a form which you do not know. 61 And [since] you are indeed aware of the [miracle of your] coming into being in the first instance - why, then, do you not bethink yourselves [of Us]? 62 And have you seen that [seed] which you sow? 63 Is it you or We Who make them grow? 64 We could turn it, if We pleased, into straw; then you would rue the day, 65 "Verily, we are ruined! 66 Nay, but we are deprived! 67 Did you cast a good look at the water that you drink? 68 Is it you who brought it down from the clouds, or is it We who bring it down? 69 Had We wanted, We could have made it salty. Why then do you not give thanks? 70 Have you considered the fire which you strike? 71 Is it you that originated its tree, or are We the Originator? 72 We have made it a reminder and provision for the travelers, 73 So glorify the name of your Lord, the Supreme. 74

عند قراءة القرآن الملون في وضعية اللغة العربية المرسومة بالأحرف الإنجليزية، قد لا تلاحظ وجود منظومة برمجية مصممة لمطابقة متطلبات علامات الوقف في النص العربي الأصلي. فكما تعلم، يحتوي القرآن على خمسة أنواع رئيسية من علامات الوقف. (1) وقف لازم، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي نقطة وقف. (2) وقف جائز مع الوقف أولى، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال الثلثين. (3) وقف جائز مع تساوي أولوية الوقف والوصل، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال النصف للنصف. (4) وقف جائز مع الوصل أولى، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال الثلث. When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
