Therefore, remind. By the Favor of Allah, you are neither a soothsayer, nor mad. 29 Or do they say: 'He is a poet, we are waiting for some misfortune to befall him' 30 Say thou: "Await ye!- I too will wait along with you!" 31 Does their reasoning prompt them to this, or they are a people rebellious? 32 What! They say, “He has invented the Qur'an”? Rather they do not have faith. 33 So let them bring a single discourse like it, if they are truthful. 34 Were they created of nothing, or were they themselves the creators? 35 Or did they create the heavens and the earth? Rather, they are not certain. 36 Do they own the treasures of your Lord, or have they been given charge of them? 37 Or have they a stairway [into the heaven] upon which they listen? Then let their listener produce a clear authority. 38 Or hath He daughters whereas ye have sons? 39 Or is it that [they who reject thy message, O Muhammad, fear lest] thou ask of them a reward, so that they would be burdened with debt [if they should listen to thee]? 40 Or have they [knowledge of] the unseen, so they write [it] down? 41 Or are they contriving a stratagem against you? If so, that stratagem will rebound against the unbelievers. 42 Or have they a god other than Allah? Exalted is Allah far above the things they associate with Him! 43 Even if they saw lumps falling from heaven, they would say, 'A massed cloud!' 44 So leave them alone until they face the day when they will be struck dead from terror 45 the Day when none of their scheming will be of the least avail to them, and they will receive no succour. 46 Surely there are other torments besides this for those who are wicked, though most of them do not know. 47 Be patient, then, (O Prophet), until the judgement of your Lord comes. For surely you are before Our eyes. And celebrate the praise of your Lord when you rise, 48 And in the night time, also glorify His Praises, and at the setting of the stars. 49
