The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
When the sun is wound up; 1 When the stars fall, losing their lustre; 2 And when the mountains shall be made to pass away, 3 when the pregnant camels shall be neglected, 4 And when the wild beasts shall be gathered together; 5 And when the seas shall become as blazing Fire or shall overflow; 6 when the souls shall be coupled, 7 When the female (infant), buried alive, is questioned - 8 For what crime she was put to death; 9 When the ledgers are laid open, 10 when heaven shall be stripped off; 11 When Hell is set ablaze, 12 and Paradise brought nigh: 13 A soul will [then] know what it has brought [with it]. 14 No indeed; I swear by the alternating stars 15 stars which are visible during the night 16 and the night that falls, 17 And by the dawn when it breathes 18 That this is indeed the word of an honoured Messenger, 19 who is honored in the presence of the Lord of the Throne, 20 obeyed, moreover trusty. 21 And your companion is not [at all] mad. 22 And indeed he saw him on the clear horizon. (Prophet Mohammed saw Angel Jibreel in his true shape – peace and blessings be upon them). 23 he is not niggardly of the Unseen. 24 And the Qur’an is not the recitation of Satan the outcast. 25 When whither go ye? 26 It is not except a reminder to the worlds 27 Unto whomsoever of you willeth to walk straight. 28 And you do not will except that Allah wills - Lord of the worlds. 29
