Y S (Yaa Seen)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
Ya Seen. 1 By the Wise Koran, 2 you (Prophet Muhammad) are truly among the Messengers sent 3 On a Straight Way. 4 (The Qur’an is) Sent down by the Almighty, the Most Merciful. 5 [bestowed upon thee] so that thou mayest warn people whose forefathers had not been warned, and who therefore are unaware [of the meaning of right and wrong]. 6 Assuredly the word hath been justified against most of them, wherefore they shall not believe. 7 We have bound their necks with fetters up to their chin, so that their heads are raised and cannot be lowered. 8 We have set-up a barrier in front of and behind them and have made them blind. Thus, they cannot see. 9 Whether you warn them or do not warn, it is all the same; they will not believe. 10 You can only warn him who follows the reminder and fears the Beneficent Allah in secret; so announce to him forgiveness and an honorable reward. 11 Verily We! We shall quicken the dead. And We write down that which they send before and their footsteps. And everything We have counted up in a Book luminous. 12
