(Recount to them about the time) when Your Lord called Moses: "Go to the wrong-doing people, 10 the nation of Pharaoh. Will they not fear Me' 11 Moses replied, "My Lord, I fear they will reject me, 12 "And my breast straitens, and my tongue expresses not well. So send for Harun (Aaron) (to come along with me). 13 They have charged me [with a crime] for which I am afraid they will kill me." 14 He said: Nay, verily. So go ye twain with Our tokens. Lo! We shall be with you, Hearing. 15 go both to Pharaoh and both of you say to him: 'We are (each) a Messenger from the Lord of all the Worlds. 16 ‘That you let the Descendants of Israel go with us.’” 17 [Pharaoh] said, "Did we not raise you among us as a child, and you remained among us for years of your life? 18 "And you did your deed, which you did (i.e. the crime of killing a man). And you are one of the ingrates." 19 Moses replied, "I did that when I was one of the misguided, 20 and I fled from you because I feared you. But [since] then my Sustainer has endowed me with the ability to judge [between right and wrong,] and has made me one of [His] message-bearers. 21 "And this is the past favour with which you reproach me, that you have enslaved the Children of Israel." 22 Pharaoh said, 'And what is the Lord of all Being?' 23 [Moses] said, "The Lord of the heavens and earth and that between them, if you should be convinced." 24 Said he to those about him, 'Do you not hear?' 25 He said: your Lord and the Lord of your ancient fathers. 26 Said Firaun, “This (Noble) Messenger of yours, who has been sent towards you, has no intelligence!” 27 Moses continued, "He is the Lord of the East and West and all that is between them, if only you would think". 28 (Pharaoh) said: "If thou dost put forward any god other than me, I will certainly put thee in prison!" 29 Moses asked, "What if I were to bring you clear proof (of the existence of God)?" 30 (Pharaoh) said: "Show it then, if thou tellest the truth!" 31 So [Musa (Moses)] threw his stick, and behold, it was a serpent, manifest. 32 And he drew forth his hand and lo! it was white to the beholders. 33
