The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By those [angels] who extract with violence 1 and gently take it away; 2 By the angels who glide swimmingly, 3 and those that outstrip suddenly 4 And who plan the implementation. 5 On the Day when a violent convulsion will convulse [the world], 6 Followed by the second blast, 7 On that Day some hearts shall tremble (with fright), 8 and their eyes shall be humbled. 9 They say: Shall we indeed be restored to (our) first state? 10 even after we have been reduced to bones, hollow and rotten?” 11 and they say, "That indeed would be a losing return." 12 [But,] then, that [Last Hour] will be [upon them of a sudden, as if it were] but a single accusing cry 13 When lo! they shall be wakeful. 14 Has the story of Moses come to you 15 When his Lord called him in the sacred valley of Tuwa, 16 Saying: go thou unto Fir'awn; verily he hath waxen exorbitant. 17 and say, 'Will you reform yourself? 18 "'And that I guide thee to thy Lord, so thou shouldst fear Him?'" 19 Then Moses (went to Pharaoh and) showed him the Great Sign; 20 But he denied and disobeyed, 21 and then he turned back to have recourse to his craftiness, 22 Then he collected (his men) and made a proclamation, 23 And proclaimed: "I (Pharaoh) am your Lord the Highest." 24 So Allah seized him (and made him) an example for the after (life) and for the former. 25 Lo! herein is indeed a lesson for him who feareth. 26
