Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ WHEN THE SKY is cleft asunder, 1 And when the stars fall down. 2 when the seas are made to burst forth, 3 when the tombs are overthrown, 4 every soul will see the result of its deeds - those recorded before his death and those which will produce either virtue or evil after his death. 5 O man! What has seduced thee from thy Lord Most Beneficent?- 6 Who created thee, then moulded thee, then proportioned thee? 7 In whatsoever form He listed He constructed thee. 8 Yet you deny the Last Judgement. 9 Surely, there are guardians watching over you, 10 Kind and honourable,- Writing down (your deeds): 11 They know (and understand) all that ye do. 12 Indeed, the righteous shall (live) in bliss. 13 and the evil-doers will be in hell 14 roasting therein on the Day of Doom, 15 And they (Al-Fujjar) will not be absent therefrom (i.e. will not go out from the Hell). 16 What will make you realize what the Day of Judgement will be? 17 Again, what shall make thee know whatsoever the Day of Requital is? 18 It will be a Day when no human being shall be of the least avail to any other human being, God [alone] will hold command on that Day. 19
