The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
CONSIDER the bright morning hours, 1 and by the night when it covers, 2 Thy Lord has neither forsaken thee nor hates thee 3 And indeed the latter is better for you than the former. 4 And presently thy Lord shall give unto thee so that thou shalt be well-pleased. 5 Found He not thee an orphan, so He sheltered thee? 6 And found thee lost on thy way, and guided thee? 7 And did He not find you in want, and then enriched you? 8 As for the orphan, do not oppress him, 9 And as for the petitioner, do not repel [him]. 10 and as for thy Lord's blessing, declare it. 11
God the Almighty always says the truth.
