We were indeed gracious to Moses and Aaron, 114 and We delivered both of them and their people from the great calamity. 115 And We succoured them so that they became overcomers. 116 We gave them the explicit Book, 117 And guided them to the Straight Path. 118 And We left for them among the later folk (the salutation): 119 Peace be upon Moses and Aaron. 120 As such We recompense the gooddoers. 121 They were two of Our believing servants. 122 And Elias (El Yaseen) was among the Messengers. 123 When he said to his people: "Will you not be mindful of God? 124 Call ye upon Bal and forsake the Best of creators. 125 Allah, your Lord and the Lord of your fathers of yore? 126 But they gave him the lie: and therefore they will most surely be arraigned [on Judgment Day,] 127 excepting only [those who were] God's true servants; 128 And We left his (memory) for posterity. 129 Salamun (peace) be upon Ilyasin (Elias)!" 130 Even thus do We reward the doers of good. 131 Verily, he was one of Our believing slaves. 132 So also was Lut among those sent (by Us). 133 When We saved him and his household, every one, 134 Except an old woman, who became of those who stayed behind. 135 then We destroyed the others, 136 and, verily, [to this day] you pass by the remnants of their dwellings at morning-time 137 And at night. Then will you not use reason? 138
