Al-Taareq
The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the Sky and the Night-Visitant (therein);- 1 And what shall make thee know that which the night-comer is? 2 It is the shining star -- 3 That over each soul there is a guardian. 4 So let man consider of what he was created. 5 He is created from a water dripping, 6 Issuing from (the pelvis) between the backbone and the ribs. 7 Indeed, Allah, to return him [to life], is Able. 8 On the Day when man's deepest secrets shall be put to the test 9 Then will (man) have no power, nor any helper. 10 By the heaven with its recurring cycle of rain, 11 And by the earth which splitteth, 12 Most surely it is a decisive word, 13 It is not a thing for amusement. 14 As for them, they are but plotting a scheme, 15 And I (too) will make a scheme. 16 So grant the unbelievers a respite: let them alone for a while. 17
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
