Kingship (Al-Mulk)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
۞ HALLOWED be He in whose hand all dominion rests, since He has the power to will anything: 1 Who created death and life that He may try you-- which of you is best in deeds; and He is the Mighty, the Forgiving, 2 He created seven heavens one above the other in layers. You will not find any flaw in the creation of the Gracious One. Then look once again: can you see any flaw? 3 Again turn thy vision a second time: (thy) vision will come back to thee dull and discomfited, in a state worn out. 4 And indeed, We have adorned the skies nearest to the earth with lights, and have made them the object of futile guesses for the evil ones [from among men]: and for them have We readied suffering through a blazing flame 5 And for those who disbelieved in their Lord is the punishment of Hell, and wretched is the destination. 6 When they are cast into that [hell,] they will hear its breath indrawing as it boils up, 7 As it would burst with rage. Whenever a (fresh) host is flung therein the wardens thereof ask them: Came there unto you no warner? 8 They will say, "Yes, someone did come to warn us, but we rejected him saying, 'God has revealed nothing. You are in great error". 9 They will further say: "Had we but listened or used our intelligence, we should not (now) be among the Companions of the Blazing Fire!" 10 So they shall confess their sin. Far away they be, the fellows of the Blaze! 11 Verily those who dread their Lord unseen, theirs shall be forgiveness and a great hire. 12 And whather ye keep your discourse secret or publish it, verily He is the Knower of that which is in the breasts. 13 How could it be that He who has created [all] should not know [all]? Yea, He alone is unfathomable [in His wisdom,] aware! 14
