The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ GLORIFY THE NAME of your Lord, most high, 1 Who hath created, and further, given order and proportion; 2 and who determines the nature [of all that exists,] and thereupon guides it [towards its fulfilment,] 3 who brought forth the pasturage 4 then turns it into black stubble. 5 We shall make you recite so that you will not forget, 6 save what God may will [thee to forget] - for, verily, He [alone] knows all that is open to [man's] perception as well as all that is hidden [from it] 7 We shall take you slowly towards ease. 8 Remind, if the reminder can be of benefit. 9 He who fears (Allah) shall heed it, 10 But the wretched one will avoid it - 11 Who will enter the Great Fire, 12 wherein he will neither die nor remain alive. 13 He who purifies himself, 14 And who remembereth the name of his Lord, and then prayeth. 15 Nay, you prefer the life of this world; 16 Though the life to come is better and abiding. 17 This indeed is what is taught in the former scriptures -- 18 The Books of Abraham and Moses. 19
