Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ When heaven is split open, 1 And when the stars become dispersed, 2 when the seas overflow; 3 and when the graves are laid open: 4 A soul will know what it hath sent before (it) and what left behind. 5 O mankind, what has deceived you concerning your Lord, the Generous, 6 Who created you, fashioned you perfectly, and gave you due proportion; 7 in whatever form He pleased? 8 Nay! But you deny the Recompense (reward for good deeds and punishment for evil deeds). 9 Yet over you there are watchers, 10 noble scribes 11 Who know what you do. 12 Indeed, the righteous will be in pleasure, 13 whereas, behold, the wicked will indeed be in a blazing fire 14 They will [enter to] burn therein on the Day of Recompense, 15 And thence they shall not be allowed to be absent. 16 What do you know what the Day of Recompense is? 17 Again would that you only knew how terrible it really is! 18 It is the Day when no soul can do a thing for another soul. That Day, the command belongs to Allah. 19
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
