The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ (Muhammad), glorify the Name of your lord, the Most High, 1 Who hath created and then proportioned, 2 who has ordained and guided, 3 who brings forth the pastures, 4 And [then] makes it black stubble. 5 We shall make you recite (the Qur'an) so that you will not forget it, 6 save what God may will [thee to forget] - for, verily, He [alone] knows all that is open to [man's] perception as well as all that is hidden [from it] 7 And We will make your way smooth to a state of ease. 8 Therefore remind, if the Reminder profits, 9 Those who have fear of God will benefit 10 but the most wretched shall avoid it, 11 He who will be flung to the great Fire 12 then he shall neither die therein, nor live. 13 He who purifies himself, 14 And recites the name of his Lord and serves with devotion. 15 But you prefer the life of this world, 16 While the hereafter is better and more lasting. 17 Verily, [all] this has indeed been [said] in the earlier revelations 18 the scriptures of Abraham and Moses. 19
