Al-Infitaar
Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
۞ When the sky is cleft asunder; 1 when the planets are scattered, 2 And when the seas are erupted 3 And when the [contents of] graves are scattered, 4 A soul will [then] know what it has put forth and kept back. 5 O human! What has deceived you concerning your Generous Lord 6 who created you, fashioned you and proportioned you, 7 and set you in whatever form He pleased? 8 Nay! But you deny the Recompense (reward for good deeds and punishment for evil deeds). 9 but you should know that there are angelic guards 10 Noble and recording; 11 who know what you do. 12 Indeed, the righteous shall (live) in bliss. 13 whereas the wicked will be in Hell; 14 Roasted they shall be therein on the Day of Requital. 15 And they will not be able to keep away therefrom. 16 What could let you know what the Day of Recompense is! 17 Again, what will make you know what the Day of Recompense is? 18 (It will be) the Day when no person shall have power (to do) anything for another, and the Decision, that Day, will be (wholly) with Allah. 19
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
