The Quake (Al-Zalzalah)

8 verses, revealed in Medina after Women (Al-Nesaa) before Iron (Al-Hadeed)

In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace

When the earth is shaken by a terrible quake 1 and it throws out its burden, 2 and man cries out, "What has happened to her?" 3 That day it will narrate its annals, 4 Because thy Lord will inspire her. 5 On that day men will return towards their Lord, in different groups, in order to be shown their deeds. 6 So whoever does an atom's weight of good will see it, 7 and he who shall have done an atom's weight of evil, shall behold it. 8

True are the words of God the Almighty.
