The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the heaven adorned with big stars. 1 By the promised Day (of Judgment); 2 by the witness and the witnessed, 3 Cursed were the people of the ditch (the story of the Boy and the King). 4 Of the fuel-fed fire, 5 As they sat around it 6 and they were witnesses of what they did to the believers 7 They took revenge on them only because they believed in the All-mighty, the Al-laudable, 8 To whom belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth. And Allah, over all things, is Witness. 9 Verily, as for those who persecute believing men and believing women, and thereafter do not repent, hell's suffering awaits them: yea, suffering through fire awaits them! 10 As for the righteously striving believers, they will live in Paradise wherein streams flow. This is the greatest triumph. 11 Verily, (O Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) the Grip (Punishment) of your Lord is severe. 12 He it is Who creates for the first time and He it is Who will create again, 13 And He alone is truly-forgiving, all-embracing in His love, 14 Lord of the Throne of Glory, 15 Who does as He pleases. 16 Hast thou received the story of the hosts, 17 [Those of] Pharaoh and Thamud? 18 In fact the disbelievers are in denial. 19 However, God encompassed their activities. 20 Nay, this is a Glorious Qur'an, 21 written on a preserved Tablet. 22
