Hast thou considered him who turns his back 33 and gives a little, grudgingly? 34 Does he have knowledge of the hidden, so he can foresee? 35 Has he not been informed of what is in the Scrolls of Moses, 36 And of Ibrahim, who was most obedient? 37 That no laden one shall bear another's load, 38 and that man shall have nothing but what he has striven for, 39 And that his effort will soon be scrutinised? 40 and in the end he will be repaid for it in full; 41 And that the end is only towards your Lord? 42 It is He who causes laughter and weeping. 43 and that it is He alone who deals death and grants life; 44 And that He creates the two mates - the male and female - 45 From the small seed when it is adapted 46 And that He hath ordained the second bringing forth; 47 That it is He who makes you rich and contented; 48 and that it is He who is the Lord of Sirius, 49 And that He destroyed the first [people of] 'Aad 50 and Thamud, leaving no trace of them, 51 And before them, the people of Noah, for that they were (all) most unjust and most insolent transgressors, 52 He plunged the villages 53 So there covered them that which covered. 54 Then which of the Graces of your Lord (O man!) will you doubt. 55 He who warns you is one of the warners of old. 56 The threatened Hour is nigh. 57 and none but Allah can avert it. 58 Then at this statement do you wonder? 59 And do you laugh instead of weeping, 60 Indulging in pleasantries? 61 Prostrate yourselves before God, and worship Him alone! ۩ 62
