The people of Aykah also gave the lie to the Messengers. 176 When Shu'aib said to them: "Will you not take heed? 177 I am a trustworthy Messengers. 178 Have fear of God and obey me. 179 I ask of you no wage for this; my wage is only with the Lord of the Worlds. 180 ۞ Give full measure and do not cheat; 181 Weigh your goods with proper balance 182 and do not deprive people of what is rightfully theirs; and do not act wickedly on earth by spreading corruption, 183 And guard against (the punishment of) Him who created you and the former nations. 184 They replied, "You are bewitched. 185 You are but a human like ourselves, we think that you are one of the liars. 186 So cause a piece of the sky to fall upon us if you are truthful." 187 He said, "My Lord has full knowledge of all your actions." 188 But they belied him, so the torment of the day of shadow (a gloomy cloud) seized them, indeed that was the torment of a Great Day. 189 Indeed in that is a sign, but most of them were not to be believers. 190 Verily Your Lord is Immensely Mighty, Most Compassionate. 191
