The Heifer (Al-Baqarah)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Alif-Lam-Mim. 1 This is the Book about which there is no doubt, a guidance for those conscious of Allah - 2 Who believe in the unseen, establish prayer, and spend out of what We have provided for them, 3 And who believe in this (Qur’an) which has been sent down upon you, O beloved Prophet, (Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him) and what was sent down before you; and are certain of the Hereafter. 4 It is the pious who follow the guidance of their Lord and gain lasting happiness. 5 Those who deny your message will not believe whether you warn them or not 6 God has sealed their hearts and hearing and their vision is veiled; a great punishment awaits them. 7
